Veterans Day

This day is the anniversary of the signing of the armistice, which ended the World War I hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany in 1918. Veterans are thanked for their services to the United States on Veterans Day.



Disney made films for during World War II, for each branch of the United States government. Approximately 90% of Disney employees worked in the making of propaganda and training videos during World War II.

Here are a few deals for Veterans Day week. Please be sure to check your local business to make sure they are participating.

Great Clips

Veterans and active, inactive, or retired military members can stop into Great Clips for a free haircut on Veterans Day, November 11. If they don’t want a haircut that day, they can get a haircut card that they can redeem before the end of the year.

Anyone else can stop in to get their haircut on November 11 and receive a free haircut card that they can give to a veteran, which is redeemable from November 12 until the rest of the year.

National Parks

Over 100 national parks will waive admission fees on November 11, 2017, in honor of Veterans Day.

Bob Evans

Is offering a free meal to veterans and active duty personnel. The special menu includes Stack of Hotcakes (Buttermilk or Multigrain), Fresh Baked Brioche French Toast, Country Biscuit Breakfast, Mini Sampler Breakfast, Farm Boy Sandwich or Country Fried Steak Dinner.

Buffalo Wild Wings

The annual “Wings for Heroes” promotion is back with a free order of wings and a side of fries.



Cracker Barrell

Military veterans can enjoy a complimentary slice of Cracker Barrel’s Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake.

Dunkin Donuts

Veterans and active duty military get a free donut. No purchase necessary.

Red Lobster

 Veterans, reserve and active-duty military will receive a free appetizer or dessert from a specific menu on Saturday, November 11. Customers will need to show a valid military ID or proof of service for this offer.

Ruby Tuesday

All veterans, active duty and reserve military service members with a valid military ID can enjoy one free appetizer (up to a $10 value) on Veteran’s Day (Nov. 11). Offer is valid at all Ruby Tuesday locations, excluding those in Guam, Hawaii, Manhattan, airports or outside of the United States.
